As commercial space expands, the next wave of growth will come not only from traditional aerospace companies, but from universities, startups, educators, research teams, regional businesses, international customers, and non-space industries seeking access to low-Earth orbit, suborbital platforms, high-altitude balloons, lunar pathways, and future commercial destinations. Yet many promising ideas never reach flight because new users do not know where to begin, who to call, how to assess feasibility, or how to navigate the regulatory, safety, export control, ITAR, funding, and mission-readiness hurdles required to make a project work.
This session introduces a framework for helping commercial space customers move from space curiosity to space capability. It will explore how structured onboarding, AI-enabled training, compliance translation, export-control awareness, partner navigation, and staged precursor missions can help new users understand the U.S. space landscape and develop credible, compliant, mission-ready projects.
