Accelerating Artemis: Returning to the Moon
Artemis is shifting from a sequence of missions toward a campaign of lunar exploration, infrastructure, and partnership. This panel looks beyond the next flight to examine how NASA, industry, and international partners can translate momentum into a repeatable operating cadence and presence at the Moon. Panelists will discuss mission architecture, crew and cargo transportation, landing systems, Gateway, surface mobility, logistics, science, and the capabilities required for a Moon Base. The conversation will confront questions behind the vision: how lessons are incorporated across missions, where commercial services can replace bespoke development, how schedules and interfaces are coordinated, and how risks are shared across the ecosystem. It will also explore how Artemis can create demand while advancing objectives and cooperation. Attendees will gain a candid view of the choices that will determine whether returning to the Moon becomes an episodic achievement or the foundation for exploration, economic activity, and missions to Mars.
