Opening Keynote – Sustaining Advantage in a Contested Space Domain

This opening keynote will establish the commander’s perspective on what military advantage in space will require in the years ahead.

Rather than focusing on individual threats, technologies, or programs, the discussion will address the operational priorities that should guide the broader space enterprise: the ability to act at the speed of the fight, preserve freedom of action, generate multiple options for commanders, operate through disruption and loss, restore combat power when required, and sustain critical effects over time.

The keynote will challenge military, acquisition, logistics, and industry leaders to consider whether today’s institutions, infrastructure, and supporting enterprise are prepared to enable that level of operational performance.

The objective is to establish the commander’s intent for the day - define the outcomes the Joint Force must be able to achieve in a contested space domain and set the standard against which the capabilities, logistics, acquisition approaches, and industrial capacity discussed throughout the conference should be evaluated.
