What Must Be Operational by 2030?
As the United States prepares for an increasingly contested space domain, military leaders, acquisition organizations, and industry face difficult choices regarding which capabilities must move from concept to operational reality over the next five years. While numerous technologies promise to improve mobility, resilience, sustainment, and combat effectiveness, resources, time, and organizational focus are finite.
This featured address challenges the community to think beyond today's programs and identify the capabilities that must become operational by 2030 to preserve military advantage in space. Rather than discussing everything that could be developed, the conversation focuses on what should be prioritized, why those capabilities matter operationally, and what decisions must be made today to ensure they are available when the Joint Force needs them.
