Anna Hurova

Anna Hurova holds a Ph.D. in law and is a postdoctoral fellow at the Space Chair of the

École normale supérieure. She contributed to the legal support for the European

“LEOSWEEP” project, dedicated to the active removal of space debris.

She was a visiting researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in

Environmental, Land Use, and Urban Planning Law (France, 2018) as well as at UNIDROIT

(Italy, 2020).

From 2022 to 2025, she worked at LIENSs (CNRS, France) in collaboration with

CNES on the gamification of space activities. She is a national representative on the

Legal Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.

Her research focuses on space safety and sustainability, the reduction of space

debris, the use of blockchain in space activities, and the exploitation of space resources.

Anna Hurova is a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), the

Moon Village Association, and the Ukrainian Space Youth Council. Her research interests

include space debris, sustainability, security, and gamification.
