Dr. David Chesny is an applied plasma physicist and the Chief Science Officer at Equilibria Power. He has long experience in advanced technology research and development and was the principal investigator of the DOE Magnetic Reconnection Rocket project. He has over twenty peer-reviewed publications in the fields of space exploration technologies, plasma physics, magnetics, and solar physics. He focuses on the demonstration of nuclear electric propulsion and the deployment of solid-state pulsed power into the plasma physics and fusion communities.
