Ethan Barajas is Co-Founder and CEO of Icarus Robotics, where he is building the dexterous robotic labor force for the orbital economy. Icarus' first product, Joy, is the first dexterous bi-manual free-flying robot designed to operate inside crewed spacecraft, launching to the International Space Station in Q1 2027 with Voyager Technologies under the JOYRIDE-1 mission.
Ethan began working with NASA at age 17 through the HUNCH program, designing NanoLab payloads to be flown to the ISS. He studied mechanical engineering at Caltech and has been recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Science. Icarus is backed by a $6.1M seed round and is headquartered at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
