Rama Afullo
Rama Afullo is the Founder and CEO of Satlyt, a space infrastructure company building software to turn satellites into programmable compute nodes and enable virtual AI data centers in space. Satlyt’s platform supports onboard processing, AI inference, data reduction, and distributed application orchestration across spacecraft.
Before founding Satlyt, Rama worked across SpaceX, Google, and Tesla, including as a Product Manager on Starlink, an AI Startup Manager at Google, and a Telco Business Lead at Tesla.
He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management. Rama left his Master’s program in Space Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University to pursue his work in the space industry full time.
Under his leadership, Satlyt has deployed software and AI workloads on orbit, demonstrated significant reductions in telemetry and downlink requirements, and is working with commercial and government partners on next-generation space compute and networking architectures.
