Space Mobility

Space Mobility is the national forum for operationalizing the Space Logistics Enterprise, bringing together U.S. Space Force (USSF), United States Space Systems Command (SSC), industry, and mission partners to address the operational challenges, capabilities, and partnerships required to enable future military space operations.

Space Mobility will take place January 12, 2027, during Commercial Space Week in Orlando, Florida.

Space Mobility: January 12, 2027
Co-Located Expo: January 12–14, 2027
Location: Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida

This event is designed for professionals across the defense, civil, and commercial space sectors, including:

  • Active-duty military personnel and warfighters

  • Government and defense acquirers and program managers

  • Prime aerospace contractors and system integrators

  • Commercial launch providers and satellite operators

  • Academic and research leaders in space logistics and mobility

Yes. All Space Mobility conference participants receive full access to the 3-day Expo running January 12–14, 2027.

Space Mobility focuses on the operational challenges, capabilities, and partnerships required to advance the Space Logistics Enterprise. Key topics include space maneuver, combat power regeneration, force reinforcement and reconstitution, responsive launch, in-space servicing and refueling, transportation and logistics, command and control, infrastructure, and commercial capabilities that support future military space operations.

Programming also examines U.S. Space Force and Space Systems Command priorities, emerging operational requirements, capability gaps, and opportunities for government and industry to move space mobility concepts toward operational capability.

Space mobility is the ability to move and support military equipment and capabilities into, through, and within the space domain. It includes capabilities such as launch, on-orbit maneuver, transportation, servicing, refueling, logistics, and force reconstitution.

For the U.S. Space Force, space mobility is an important part of developing the Space Logistics Enterprise and enabling forces to maneuver, restore combat power, and maintain operational advantage in a contested space domain.

Space mobility is important because national security increasingly depends on the ability to move, support, and restore capabilities in space. As the space domain becomes more contested, military forces need greater flexibility to protect mission capabilities and respond to changing operational needs.

Space mobility advances capabilities such as on-orbit logistics, satellite servicing and refueling, spacecraft maneuver, force reconstitution, and cislunar operations. Together, these capabilities can help strengthen resilience, restore combat power, and give U.S. and allied forces greater operational flexibility and advantage in space.
